Sep 22: Artificial intelligence is becoming a more visible part of the laptop experience, with newer devices adding dedicated AI processing alongside changes in performance, battery life, software and everyday functionality. From compact machines for work and study to gaming laptops built for demanding workloads, the latest launches cover a wide range of users.

1. Apple MacBook Air with M5 – For portable everyday performance

The AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor includes an integrated NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS, while the laptop comes with 16GB memory and SSD storage. ASUS also highlights battery life of up to 23 hours, depending on configuration and usage. The combination of portability, everyday performance and AI processing makes it suited to professionals and students who want a laptop that can handle regular productivity tasks while supporting newer AI features.

4. HP OmniBook 5 14 – For productivity and multitasking

The HP OmniBook 5 14 takes a more conventional productivity-focused approach to AI computing. 5. Acer Aspire 5 AI – For users looking for a balanced everyday laptop

The Acer Aspire 5 AI is positioned around a combination of portability and everyday performance. The 14-inch laptop is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and is available with up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD storage. The standard configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD weighs around 1.2kg, making it suitable for students and professionals who want an AI-enabled laptop that can still remain relatively easy to carry. The Aspire 5 AI starts at ₹84,990 in India.

6. Lenovo Legion 5i – For gaming and demanding workloads

AI capabilities are also finding their way into performance-oriented laptops. Lenovo’s latest Legion 5i combines Intel Core Ultra processors with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics and Lenovo’s LA-series AI technology. One current configuration features an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, RTX 5060 graphics with 8GB GDDR7 memory, 16GB RAM and a 15.3-inch WQXGA OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
