India, June 23: Sherlocks AI, an India-founded, AI-native incident management platform building for global enterprise customers, has raised ₹7.5 crore in pre-seed funding led by SenseAI Ventures, with participation from Uppekha. The company is using the capital to strengthen its product and scale go-to-market efforts in North America, where demand for Agentic SRE and ITOps is accelerating.

The funding comes at a time when enterprises running cloud-native, microservices-based systems are grappling with rising incident frequency and operational complexity. While observability tools have proliferated, mean time to resolution (MTTR) for production incidents continues to average 3-4 hours, largely because diagnosis remains manual, fragmented, and dependent on human coordination across multiple tools.
“AI has transformed how code gets written and shipped, but when things break in production, diagnosis is still manual and fragmented,” said Gaurav Toshniwal, Co-founder and CEO of Sherlocks AI. “We built Sherlocks AI to close that gap, so engineering teams spend less time firefighting and more time building, reliability has to be built into systems, not depend on human heroics” Akshat Jain, Co-founder and CTO of Sherlocks AI, added, “We architected Sherlocks AI as a true agentic system: specialized agents that reason over a live model of your environment, form and test hypotheses the way a senior engineer would, and converge on root cause without waiting for a human to kick off the investigation.”
Sherlocks AI is designed to address this gap by autonomously investigating production incidents end to end. Instead of merely surfacing dashboards or alerts, the platform deploys specialized AI agents, each functioning like an expert investigator, across databases, Kubernetes, networks, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. Working in concert, these agents form hypotheses, correlate signals across systems, and converge on root causes within minutes. In effect, Sherlocks AI operates as an Agentic NOC: an autonomous operations layer that triages and diagnoses around the clock, replacing the manual, tiered-escalation model that has defined traditional NOC and ITOps teams for decades.
The problem they are solving for is real – the highest incidence of system breakdowns typically happen at peak volume & transaction times, which can potentially result in poor customer experience & revenue loss for the business. Post deployment of the Sherlocks application in live environments, users reported up to a 10x reduction in time of resolution – from 3.5 hours to approximately 22 minutes! Users also reported up to 90% reduction in alert noise and up to 70% reduction in incident-driven downtime, thereby protecting the business & safeguarding its uptime & revenue metrics.
Commenting on the funding, Rahul Agarwalla, Managing Partner at SenseAI Venture said, “Operations is where enterprise AI either proves its value or fails. “Despite years of investment in
observability, incident resolution remains slow, manual, and painful. What stood out to us was the team’s ability to solve this problem; Gaurav and Akshat have spent years building and scaling complex production systems and understand these challenges firsthand. Sherlocks AI is bringing autonomous, reasoning-led solutioning inside production environments. This is the approach modern engineering teams need to maximise reliability at scale and help protect the business’ revenues and customer experience”
“Sherlocks AI currently serves mid-market and enterprise technology companies operating cloud-native or hybrid infrastructure, with customers including Reliance-backed e-commerce platform Fynd, YC-backed hyperlocal platform Lokal, and TradeIndia, one of India’s largest B2B marketplaces. It integrates with over 30 tools across cloud providers, Kubernetes environments, databases, observability platforms, and CI/CD systems, and has a 4.9/5 rating on G2, reflecting strong user adoption among engineering teams. Sherlocks AI is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and enterprise procurement-ready.
