Bhubaneswar, May 29 (BNP): An interactive session with a visiting Japanese delegation was held under the chairmanship of Shri Hemant Sharma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department, to strengthen industrial cooperation, investment opportunities and bilateral engagement between Odisha and Japan.
The session witnessed detailed discussions on potential collaboration in key sectors, industrial partnerships, technology exchange, skill development and investment prospects aimed at further strengthening Odisha’s industrial ecosystem.
Addressing the delegates, Shri Hemant Sharma highlighted Odisha’s growing position as a preferred investment destination, supported by progressive industrial policies, strong infrastructure, ease of doing business and sector-specific opportunities. He underscored the state government’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and facilitating global investments.
The interactive meeting also provided a platform for meaningful exchange of ideas between government officials and Japanese representatives on enhancing industrial cooperation, promoting sustainable manufacturing practices and exploring future opportunities in strategic sectors.
Members of the Japanese delegation expressed interest in Odisha’s industrial growth trajectory and appreciated the state’s efforts in creating a conducive environment for investment and innovation.
