Hyderabad, Apr 30: The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has announced the appointment of Mr. Venu Vinod, Managing Director of Cybercity Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd., as the Co-Chairman of the IGBC Hyderabad Chapter. His appointment comes at a time when Hyderabad continues to emerge as one of India’s leading hubs for sustainable urban development and green building adoption.

With over two decades of experience and expertise in the real estate sector, Mr. Venu Vinod has been instrumental in driving environmentally responsible development practices. Under his leadership, Cybercity Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd. has consistently integrated sustainability principles into its projects, aligning with IGBC’s green and net-zero frameworks to support a more sustainable built environment. A distinguished entrepreneur and a commerce graduate, with a business career spanning over four decades since 1982, he brings with him extensive cross-sectoral experience across real estate, engineering products, chemicals, and construction equipment.

Hyderabad has played a pivotal role in advancing the green building movement, not only in Telangana but across the country. The city is home to a rapidly expanding portfolio of IGBC-certified green buildings across commercial, residential, IT parks, and institutional segments. His role will also focus on driving capacity building, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and encouraging wider participation from developers across the region.

As a newly designated Co-Chairman, IGBC Hyderabad Chapter, Mr Venu Vinod, said,
