MP Dr. K. Laxman Felicitates Blood Bank and Donation Camp Staff at TSCS on completion of 4000 Voluntary Blood Donation Camps

Hyderabad, October 03 2026: On the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS), Hyderabad, celebrated the completion of a significant milestone of 4,000 voluntary blood donation camps, recognising the organisation’s sustained commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation and supporting patients living with Thalassemia and Sickle Cell disorders.

As part of the celebrations, TSCS organised a special felicitation ceremony at its premises in Shivrampally, Hyderabad, to honour its dedicated Blood Bank and Blood Donation Camp staff for their sincere service and invaluable contribution towards ensuring a steady supply of blood for patients in need.

The programme was graced by Dr. K. Laxman,  Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, who felicitated the dedicated staff in the presence of the TSCS Board members along with Dr. Chandrakant Agarwal, President, TSCS, Dr. Suman Jain – Chief Medical Research Officer and Secretary – TSCS,  Aleem Baig, Joint Secretary – TSCS and Mrs. Ratnavali – Vice President -TSCS who extended vote of thanks.

The completion of 4,000 voluntary blood donation camps marks an important milestone in TSCS’s efforts to encourage voluntary blood donation and strengthen support systems for patients requiring regular blood transfusions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. K. Laxman appreciated the commitment of TSCS and its staff towards the cause of voluntary blood donation and support for Thalassemia and Sickle Cell patients. He emphasised the importance of encouraging more people to come forward and donate blood regularly, noting that voluntary blood donation can play a crucial role in saving precious lives.

Dr Chandrakant Agrawal – President, Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society representing TSCS, expressed gratitude to the blood donors, volunteers, staff and supporters whose continued involvement has helped the organisation reach the milestone of 4,000 voluntary blood donation camps.

The felicitation ceremony also served as an occasion to recognise the people working behind the scenes—blood bank personnel, camp staff and volunteers—who tirelessly coordinate blood donation activities and contribute to the availability of safe blood for patients.

TSCS reiterated its commitment to expanding voluntary blood donation initiatives and creating greater awareness about the importance of regular blood donation, while continuing its efforts in support of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell patients.
