Kottayam, June 26: KFON has crossed the milestone of 15,000 active connections in Kottayam, reflecting the growing acceptance of the state’s broadband network among households, offices, commercial establishments, and government institutions.
The achievement highlights the increasing demand for KFON’s affordable high-speed internet services, which are playing a key role in strengthening digital connectivity across the district. By providing reliable broadband access to both residential users and public institutions, KFON continues to contribute significantly to digital inclusion and seamless connectivity in Kottayam.
As part of the Government of Kerala’s vision of a digitally empowered society, KFON is ensuring access to quality internet services for all sections of society. The project provides free internet connectivity to eligible Below Poverty Line (BPL) families and government institutions, while offering affordable broadband plans for other users.
The steady expansion of KFON’s optical fibre network across the district, coupled with the support of local network operators, has been instrumental in extending connectivity to more homes and institutions. The 15,000-connection milestone marks another significant step in KFON’s mission to bridge the digital divide and make high-speed internet accessible to every citizen.
