IMS Noida Organises Blood Donation Camp, Inspiring Students to Embrace Social Responsibility and Service

Noida, Sep 15: IMS Noida, Sector 62, organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Rotary Blood Bank, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students and members of the institute. Around 111 participants registered for voluntary blood donation, reflecting their commitment towards social responsibility and community welfare. The camp aimed to foster values of compassion, sensitivity, service and responsible citizenship among students while creating awareness about their responsibilities towards society.

The camp was inaugurated by Professor Dr. J.K. Sharma, Advisor, IMS Noida. Addressing the students, he described blood donation as an important means of serving humanity and appreciated the initiative. He said that developing a sense of social concern and responsible citizenship among young people is the need of the hour. Active participation in community-oriented activities not only makes students more sensitive but also provides them with an opportunity to understand their responsibilities towards society. He further emphasised that through initiatives such as blood donation, students can make a direct and meaningful contribution to society.

On the occasion, Dr. Govind Prasad Goyal, Dean–Students Welfare, IMS Noida, said that integrating social values with education is essential for the holistic development of students. He stated that the purpose of education is not limited to achieving academic excellence; it is equally important to nurture sensitivity, empathy, responsibility and a spirit of service towards society among students. Such initiatives provide students with an opportunity to understand social responsibility and translate these values into meaningful action.

The enthusiastic participation of students in the blood donation camp reflected their sensitivity towards the needs of society and their willingness to step forward to support those in need. The volunteers and coordinators, along with the team from Rotary Noida Blood Bank, played an important role in facilitating the successful conduct of the camp.

The initiative served as a meaningful platform for students and members of the institute to contribute towards a noble social cause while reinforcing the values of compassion, community service and responsible citizenship.
