New Delhi, Aug 26: Hyundai Motor is preparing for a major expansion of its global automotive business, with plans to introduce more than 100 new and updated models by 2030 and significantly increase production capacity.
The company plans to add around 1.27 million vehicles to its global production capacity over the coming years. The expansion is aimed at meeting demand in key markets and giving Hyundai greater flexibility in responding to changes in consumer preferences.
Hyundai is also targeting global sales of 5.55 million vehicles by 2030. Electrified vehicles, including electric cars, hybrids and extended-range electric vehicles, are expected to make up a substantial share of those sales.
India is expected to become an important part of the company’s long-term growth strategy. Hyundai plans to expand manufacturing capacity in the country and introduce a wider range of models to serve both domestic customers and export markets.
