Honda Cars India Begins INR 450 Crore Phase II Expansion of Bengaluru Spare Parts Warehouse

Bengaluru, September 18, 2026: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) today held the ground-breaking ceremony for the Phase II expansion of its Spare Parts Warehouse facility at Doddaballapura, near Bengaluru, Karnataka. Spread across an area of approx. 80,000 sq. meter, the Phase II expansion will involve an investment of INR 450 crore and cater to Honda’s 4-Wheelers, 2-Wheelers, and Power Products businesses in India

The Phase II expansion will further strengthen Honda’s spare parts distribution network by enhancing storage and distribution capacity, improving operational efficiency and enabling faster availability of genuine spare parts across its network. The investment will also support the growing scale of Honda’s businesses in India and contribute to local economic development through the creation of new employment opportunities in Karnataka.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Takashi Nakajima, President & CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd., said, “The Phase II expansion of our Bengaluru warehouse reflects Honda’s continued commitment to strengthening our infrastructure in India and supporting the growing needs of our customers. With enhanced capacity and operational capabilities, the expanded facility will enable faster availability of genuine spare parts and further strengthen our after-sales support. As Honda’s businesses continue to grow in India, investments such as these will play an important role in building a strong and future-ready ecosystem to serve our customers.”

The Doddaballapura facility, strategically located within North Bengaluru’s growing industrial and logistics corridor, with good access to major highways, rail connectivity and International Airport, is an important hub within Honda’s integrated spare parts supply chain in India. Managed by Honda Cars India, it supports the spare parts operation for all Honda businesses including, Honda Cars India, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, and Honda India Power Products.

Phase I of the facility spread across 60,000 sq. meter became operational in June 2025, establishing a modern spare parts distribution hub in Doddaballapura and strengthening Honda’s service parts network. Phase II will build on this foundation with increased capacity, modern infrastructure and advanced warehousing systems designed to support Honda’s future business requirements.

The overall facility after phase II expansion will be 140,000 Sq.Meter which will incorporate advanced warehousing systems, energy-efficient solutions and scalable infrastructure designed to meet Honda’s long-term requirements.

Phase II of the project will be developed by Uno Minda Infra LLP.
