HEIR debuts as a niche fragrance house with five original Eau de Parfums

Mumbai, India. July 06: HEIR is a niche fragrance house built on the belief that fragrance can carry traces across generations. Developed over nearly 18 months alongside master perfumer Michael Nordstrand, the house debuts with five original Eau de Parfum compositions crafted for a global audience. Atlas, Miras, Lano, Nectra and Kedara. Each was formulated by Michael Ælfric Nordstrand, a perfumer whose past work includes fragrances for Jo Malone and Tom Ford. Atlas carries saffron’s golden warmth against the inky depth of oud, grounded by tamboti and cedar. Miras leans into cardamom and orris root, rounded off by the malted richness of cacao. Lano is a narcotic floral built around juicy melon and the quiet whisper of muhuhu bark. Nectra brings the tart brightness of rambutan and hibiscus together with elderflower. Kedara closes the set with pink pepper’s spark, hinoki wood and the ancient calm of Chinese cedar.

Each fragrance is blended in Spain using globally sourced raw materials before being bottled for HEIR. Every detail from the custom-designed ribbed glass bottle to the velvet-lined presentation box was created specifically for the brand. Nothing exists off the shelf. Nothing about the packaging is accidental. HEIR describes its objects as things meant to be kept, and one day, handed down.

That idea of inheritance runs through everything the brand does. HEIR takes its name and its philosophy from the concept of traces, the echoes of history and culture that shape who we become without ever fully dictating it. As the brand puts it, an heir is not a passive receiver but someone who chooses what to carry forward, what to leave behind and what to reimagine entirely. HEIR was created with the ambition of building a fragrance house whose work is recognised for its quality, originality and craftsmanship rather than its geography. While its founder is Indian, the house has been built through a global network of perfumers, suppliers and makers. At its core, HEIR’s ambition is to create India’s first globally respected luxury fragrance house, one that can stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s most celebrated perfume maisons while offering a distinctly Indian point of view.

The brand has already closed a two crore pre-seed round, backed by a group of founders and operators including Niraj Singh of Spinny, Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal of Mokobara, Arjun Vaidya of V3 Ventures, Kishore Biyani of Future Group, Bala Sarda of Vahdam, Deep Bajaj of Sirona Hygiene, Suyash Saraf of Dot & Key Skincare and Radhika Ghai of Kindlife among others.

Following its debut in India, HEIR plans to expand selectively into international markets by 2027, while continuing to develop new fragrances and objects for the house.

“We wanted to build a fragrance house defined by craft, originality and emotional resonance, creating work that people choose to keep, return to and eventually pass on” – Priyanka Malhotra, founder- Heir

HEIR will be available for retail exclusively via heirbeauty.com from 5th July, 2026 onwards.
