Pune, April 22: AI-powered medical tourism platform CureMeAbroad has raised $600,000 in a pre-seed round and achieved a remarkable $3.5 million annual run rate (ARR) within its first two quarters of operations.
The platform, founded in June 2025 and headquartered in Pune, is positioning itself as an AI-first discovery engine for cross-border medical travel. It connects international patients with verified hospitals, surgeons, and treatment destinations across global healthcare markets.
Strong Early Growth in Healthtech
CureMeAbroad’s rapid traction places it among the standout early-stage startups in India’s healthtech ecosystem, where median seed-stage funding typically hovers around $1 million. The company has also built early scale through its live platform, which now features 6,000+ hospital listings across 47 countries and 45 specialities, along with 380+ accredited hospital partners in regions including India, Turkey, Thailand, Mexico, and Georgia.
The platform is powered by a proprietary AI-driven cost estimation engine trained on 634 medical procedure records and operates under HIPAA-aligned compliance standards.
Founders with Proven Startup Track Records
CureMeAbroad was founded by Aditya Oza and Mikhail Bohra, both serial operators with prior experience scaling high-growth ventures.
- Aditya Oza previously served as CMO and founding team member at EMotorad, helping scale the brand into a Series C-funded global e-cycle company operating across 18 countries.
- Mikhail Bohra bootstrapped Harbor365 into a profitable $10 million ARR business without external funding.
Strategic Investor Backing
The pre-seed round attracted several high-profile angel investors, including:
- Dr Roman Saini (Co-founder, Unacademy)
- Kunal Gupta (CEO, EMotorad)
- Himanshu Ratnoo (Former CEO, Cars24 India)
- Devaiah Bopanna (Co-founder, Moonshot)
- Vikrant Potnis (Founder, Indian Academy of Venture Capital)

Solving the Trust Gap in Medical Tourism
The global medical tourism industry is projected to reach $174 billion by 2035, yet continues to rely heavily on fragmented, unverified, and opaque intermediaries.
CureMeAbroad aims to address this gap by building a trust-first AI infrastructure layer for patients.
“There is no Booking.com for medical tourism, and that gap represents a systemic failure in global healthcare,” said Aditya Oza, CEO and Co-founder of CureMeAbroad.
AI-Powered Patient Discovery Platform
The platform uses AI to match patients with appropriate care providers based on clinical needs, geography, and affordability. Key features include:
- AI-based hospital and surgeon matching
- Transparent procedure cost estimation
- Multilingual patient support systems
- Verified clinical data and outcomes framework
Vision for Global Expansion
The company plans to deploy the newly raised capital across three core areas:
- Expansion of AI infrastructure and predictive healthcare matching models
- Team expansion across product, clinical, and international operations
- Market growth in GCC, UK, and Africa corridors
“We are building the trust layer for global healthcare travel,” said Mikhail Bohra, Co-founder and CMO. “This industry needs transparency, not conversion-driven funnels.”
CureMeAbroad is currently in discussions for its upcoming seed funding round as it scales operations globally.
