Panaji, June 25: Goa’s domestic air connectivity has received a significant boost with the commencement of Star Air’s new non-stop service between Manohar International Airport and Mundra  Gujarat. The service, which began operations on June 23, will operate five times a week from Tuesday – Saturday.

The new direct connection provides an additional travel option between Goa and Gujarat. It is expected to further facilitate tourism, strengthen business linkages and support greater economic exchange between Goa and Gujarat.

Welcoming the launch of the new service, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, said,

“The commencement of the direct Goa-Mundra service marks another positive step in enhancing Goa’s domestic air connectivity. Improved accessibility is integral to our vision of making Goa a destination that is easy to reach throughout the year. We welcome this new route and are confident it will further strengthen travel between Goa and Gujarat.”

The introduction of the Goa-Mundra service reflects the continued expansion of air connectivity to the State, offering travellers another convenient travel option while supporting Goa’s efforts to attract visitors throughout the year.

Director Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik, said,

“Every new air route helps widen Goa’s tourism footprint and improves access for travellers from across the country. The Goa-Mundra service opens another important gateway into the State, enabling more visitors from Gujarat and neighbouring regions to discover the diverse experiences that Goa has to offer.”

The Goa Department of Tourism welcomes the launch of the new service and remains committed to working closely with airline partners and aviation stakeholders to further strengthen connectivity, improve visitor access and support the sustainable growth of tourism in the State.
