
Visakhapatnam, Apr 23: Wadi Surgicals, India’s leading nitrile glove manufacturing company, welcomed Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Former Vice President of India, for a tour of its state-of-the-art production facility at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) along with Dr Jitendra Sharma, Founder & CEO, AMTZ Visakhapatnam. The visit underscores the company’s pivotal role in bolstering India’s self-reliance in healthcare manufacturing. The visit highlighted India’s rapid ascent in the global medical device manufacturing landscape and the success of the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India) initiative.
The Former Vice President expressed satisfaction at the progress made by AMTZ, Visakhapatnam, in driving the mission of making India self-reliant in medical consumables and developing innovative medical technology products, as envisioned at the time he laid the foundation stone for the zone with Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu about a decade ago.
He was briefed about the technical milestones of the plant, which is currently scaling toward a production capacity of nearly 3 million gloves per day.
