
Unveiled at GFF 2206, the solution aims to streamline cash deposits through Aadhaar authentication
Mumbai, Sept 10: Fino Payments Bank (“Fino Bank”, “the Bank”) today announced that it went live with Aadhaar-enabled Payment System (AePS) three-party cash deposit (3PCD) service, an interoperable assisted-banking innovation developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The new service allows a depositor to walk into any of Fino Bank’s over 20 lakh points across the country and deposit cash into any Aadhaar linked bank account of a registered beneficiary – a significant step forward in advancing interoperable, assisted banking services across India.
NPCI officially launched the service on September 9 at Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, in the presence of Shri Sanjay Lohiya, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and Shri Saurabh Vijay, Chief Executive Officer, UIDAI.Fino Bank participated as a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) acquiring bank and is among the first banks to go live with the 3PCD service. The initial issuer-side ecosystem includes 10 banks.
