
Kochi, July 08: Federal Bank marked a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey with the foundation stone laying ceremony for its new Green Data Centre office. The foundation stone was laid by Mr. K.V.S. Manian, Managing Director & CEO, Federal Bank, while the groundbreaking ceremony was performed by Mr. Venkatraman Venkateswaran, Executive Director, Federal Bank.
The event was attended by a number of dignitaries including Mr. Saju Mathai, President, Keezhmadu Grama Panchayath, Mr. Johnson Vazhappilly, Executive Director & CEO, Rajagiri Hospital, Johnson K Jose (Chief Technology Officer & Controller, FedServ), Dileep B (Head–Operations & Controller–CSD), Regi C V (Head – Special Projects & Real Estate), and Vinod Kumar R (Head – Corporate Services Department), along with other executives, staff and representatives from the project architects, K.G. Sukumaran & Associates.
The proposed 1.5 lakh sq. ft. Green Data Centre facility, expected to be among the largest in Kerala, will house a 6 MW data centre and serve as a key pillar of Federal Bank’s digital infrastructure. Designed with a strong focus on sustainability, resilience, scalability, and environmentally responsible development practices, the project will strengthen the Bank’s technology capabilities and support its growing digital ecosystem.

The Green Data Centre is envisioned to serve as the digital backbone of Federal Bank, enhancing operational excellence, and technological capabilities while supporting the Bank’s long-term growth and innovation objectives.
