ET Healthcare Awards 2026: Manipal Hospital Vijayawada Receives Dual Honours for Clinical Excellence in Transplantation and Orthopaedics

Vijayawada, September 15, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to delivering advanced, patient-centric healthcare, Manipal Hospital Vijayawada has been recognised at the 6th Edition of the ET Healthcare Awards 2026, winning the prestigious Hospital of the Year – Organ Transplantation – South award. The hospital was recognised for its expertise in organ transplantation, multidisciplinary clinical care, and commitment to delivering advanced treatment and comprehensive care to patients. Manipal Hospital Vijayawada’s transplant programme provides specialised services across multiple organ systems, supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team.  

The hospital’s Organ Transplantation team comprises specialists across liver, heart and kidney transplantation, including Dr. Tom Cherian, Senior Consultant – Liver Transplant Surgery, for liver transplantation; Dr. Dilip Ratti, Senior Consultant – Cardiothoracic, Minimal Invasive, Robotic and Heart Surgery, for heart transplantation; and Dr. A V S S N Sridhar, Consultant Nephrologist and Renal Transplant Physician, along with Dr. Ravi Sankar Ganji, Consultant – Urology, Renal Transplant Surgery & Robotic Surgery, for kidney transplantation. The coordinated expertise of specialists across these disciplines enables the hospital to provide comprehensive transplant care, from evaluation and surgical intervention to post-transplant management. Manipal Hospitals’ Vijayawada transplant programme includes heart, liver, kidney and other specialised transplant services.  

Adding another significant achievement, Dr. G V Reddy, Senior Consultant – Orthopaedics and Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery, Manipal Hospital Vijayawada, was honoured with the Orthopaedic Surgeon of the Year – South award. The recognition acknowledges his contribution to advanced orthopaedic care and joint replacement surgery, further highlighting the clinical expertise available at the hospital.
