India, July 14: CureMeAbroad, the global medical tourism discovery and concierge platform, today announced that it has surpassed $5 million in Annual Run Rate (ARR) within its first year of operations. The milestone reflects growing international demand for affordable, high-quality healthcare abroad, as patients increasingly seek alternatives to rising treatment costs and long waiting times in their home countries.

CureMeAbroad connects patients from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and GCC countries with a network of more than 370 accredited hospital partners across India, Thailand, Turkey, Mexico, South Korea and Georgia. Since its launch, the platform has evolved from a treatment discovery marketplace into a full-stack patient journey platform, supporting patients through treatment research, teleconsultations, hospital coordination, travel logistics and post-treatment follow-up.

CureMeAbroad has reached cashflow positivity within its first two quarters of operations in a category where customer acquisition costs and coordination overhead are both high. The achievement comes as medical tourism continues its transition from a niche industry to a mainstream healthcare solution. The platform currently manages high volumes of simultaneous patient cases across its core destination markets, with Turkey and Thailand drawing the strongest inbound volume from Western markets, while India and Mexico have seen growing traction for specific procedures including oncology, orthopaedics, and reproductive health. 

The dual-tier model has also proven its logic at scale. CureMeAbroad‘s discovery layer is free, drawing in patients who are early in their research journey. A premium, end-to-end concierge service serves patients who want full management of their medical travel and are willing to pay for a seamless, white-glove experience. Both are growing, and the top-of-funnel from the free tier feeds higher-value conversions into the paid one.

The global medical tourism market is projected to grow to $126.2 billion by 2035, a 14.1% CAGR, according to Grand View Research. In the UK, NHS waiting lists stood at 7.1 million as of March 2026, with nearly 94,000 patients waiting over a year for treatment, per NHS England data. At the same time, hospital infrastructure in destinations like Turkey, Thailand, Mexico and India has kept pace with international standards.

The company has also invested in its compliance and trust infrastructure: it is HIPAA compliant for handling US patient data and is completing its GDPR compliance work for European patients.

With the current run rate and operations spanning six destination markets and five patient source geographies, CureMeAbroad is positioning itself as the category-defining platform for global medical discovery, at a moment when the category is growing faster than anyone in it initially expected.

The company expects to scale toward its $100 million treatment facilitation target by deepening penetration in existing source markets, adding new destination geographies, and converting a growing share of its free discovery-layer users into paid concierge patients.
