LUCKNOW/Noida/Gr. Noida, 1st August 2026 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has consented to inaugurate the India Bioenergy & Tech Expo (IBET Expo) 2026, the country’s flagship bioenergy platform, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, from 11–13 August 2026. The announcement was reaffirmed today at a stakeholders’ meeting in Lucknow chaired by Shri A. K. Sharma, Hon’ble Minister for Energy and Additional Energy Sources, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Minister Sharma is also expected to join the Chief Minister at the inaugural ceremony.
The 3rd edition of IBET Expo is being steered by the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) as Co-Host, in partnership with the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE), with support from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Ministry of Power and the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
The event is also expecting the presence of several senior national leaders, including Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways; Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas; and Shri Prahlad Joshi, Hon’ble Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, alongside senior policymakers and industry leaders, under the theme “Advancing Bioenergy Solutions for a Low Carbon World.”
Speaking on the announcement, Sanjay Ganjoo, Director General, IFGE, said: “With Uttar Pradesh leading from the front and the Chief Minister himself inaugurating this edition, IBET Expo 2026 will be the strongest platform yet for India’s bioenergy ecosystem to come together, invest, and build the roadmap to a low-carbon future.”
With 25+ conference sessions, 120+ speakers, 150+ exhibitors, and over 15,000 business visitors expected, IBET Expo 2026 aims to position Uttar Pradesh as India’s premier destination for bioenergy investment and policy dialogue.
