Sept 21: Ortec Finance, a global leader in technology and risk management solutions for financial institutions, welcomes AP7 as the latest asset owner to adopt its proprietary performance measurement and attribution system, PEARL.

AP7, Sjunde AP-fonden (the Seventh AP Fund), manages Sweden’s premium pension savings and is the provider of the AP7 Såfa fund portfolio.  The fund has selected PEARL to measure and analyze investment performance across its global equity and fixed income portfolios. PEARL will also enable AP7 to perform advanced decision and currency attribution, providing deeper insights into how investment decisions, currency exposures, and hedging strategies contribute to overall fund performance.

Elske van de Burgt, Ortec Finance’s Managing Director, Investment Performance, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by AP7 following an extensive procurement process. During the evaluation, we demonstrated how PEARL’s automated workflows, intuitive reporting interface and flexible performance framework can provide the comprehensive, transparent analytics needed to support sophisticated performance measurement, attribution and more informed investment decision-making. We also look forward to partnering closely with the AP7 team, providing dedicated support to ensure they maximize the value of PEARL and achieve their performance analysis objectives.

Jonathan Diamant, Senior Risk & Performance Analyst, AP7 added: “With PEARL, we see an opportunity to further develop our performance analysis capabilities. For AP7, this is not only about measuring returns, but about creating a clearer link between investment decisions, portfolio construction and realized outcomes. The platform’s flexibility will give us better tools to understand performance drivers across strategies, currencies and benchmarks, and make those insights accessible across the organization. We look forward to working with Ortec Finance to build this capability over the coming years.”
