Ajmera Fashion Leads a 100-Vendor Textile Showcase on the Opening Day of the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026

The Ajmera Fashion pavilion was designed to be much more than just a place to buy and sell. It served as a timeline of India’s rich textile history, bridging the gap between local artisans, manufacturers, and trade vendors. By hosting 100 diverse vendors under one roof, the pavilion put the sheer scale of the country’s textile network on full display. The initiative successfully gave smaller businesses a shared national stage to boost their visibility and build direct connections with a massive new audience.

At the Ajmera Fashion stall, the talk was about a unique lehenga that narrates the tale of modern India with the help of embroidery. The gown is an artistic representation of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the Ashoka Chakra, and the national flag. Rather than following traditional designs, the embroidery depicted important milestones of the country such as recent space missions, solar energy projects, and modern updates in the fields of technology and infrastructure. Not only that, but words like “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and “Viksit Bharat” were also sewn in the outfit, making it a historical garment of India’s journey towards self-reliance.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ajay Ajmera, Founder and CEO, Ajmera Fashion Ltd., said,

“For us, this participation is about representing the collective strength of India’s textile industry. Bringing together 100 vendors from across the country gives manufacturers and entrepreneurs an opportunity to be seen, heard and recognised on a national platform. The lehenga we have created represents the spirit of our heritage is our strength, while innovation and growth will take that heritage to the world. We are proud to showcase the capabilities and diversity of India’s textile industry and its contribution to the country’s larger growth story.”

The broader theme of Day 1 also highlighted India’s development journey and the initiatives that have contributed to the country’s transformation across sectors. From Vande Bharat trains and the Mangalyaan mission to Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, Viksit Bharat, agricultural initiatives, space exploration and the expansion of solar energy, the exhibition presented India’s progress through innovation, infrastructure, manufacturing and self-reliance.

For Ajmera Fashion, the expanded participation of 100 vendors represents a larger effort to bring India’s textile ecosystem together on a common platform. Its participation at Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026 reinforces its commitment to strengthening not only Surat’s textile front but India’s as a whole. It has helped create greater visibility for manufacturers, vendors and entrepreneurs through its dedicated pavilion and collective representation.
