Chennai, Aug 14: Aheesa Digital Innovations Private Limited, a Chennai-headquartered fabless semiconductor company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Guidance, the nodal investment promotion agency of the Government of Tamil Nadu, in connection with the company’s proposed Fabless Semiconductor Design, R&D, and Product Engineering Centre at Chennai.
Aheesa Digital Innovations was represented at the signing by Mr. Sridharan Mani, Founder & CEO, who signed the MoU as the authorised signatory on behalf of the company, along with Mr Krishna Chaitanya, CEO, TNIFMC.
The Product Engineering Centre will focus on the development of networking chips, router operating systems, and OEM platforms. The MoU was exchanged at the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors’ Conference, in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay. The proposed centre entails an investment of approximately INR 250 crore and is expected to generate employment for over 300 people in Chennai.
The MoU reflects the shared spirit of cooperation between Aheesa Digital Innovations and the Government of Tamil Nadu. It expresses the state government‘s intent to extend facilitation and support, including infrastructure, single-window clearances, and standard policy incentives subject to eligibility, for the proposed project.

Aheesa, with its flagship product VIHAAN-I, a broadband networking System-on-Chip built on the RISC-V architecture, recently initiated their MPW. The proposed Chennai centre is intended to expand the company’s design, research and development, and product engineering capabilities, and supports its ambition of building a portfolio of networking silicon across broadband, telecom, edge, and related infrastructure segments.
