Mumbai, May 6: Prolicious has launched a bold new approach to everyday nutrition, challenging diet culture with its campaign #UpgradeYourselfWithProlicious, unveiled on International No Diet Day.

A new-age Indian food D2C brand, Prolicious says, On No Diet Day: Don’t Diet. Just Upgrade Your Food Choices

At a time when consumers are increasingly drawn to restrictive diets, supplements, and quick-fix solutions, Prolicious is advocating a simpler idea—improving nutrition without changing eating habits. The brand’s philosophy centres on seamlessly integrating wholefood protein and gut-friendly fibre into familiar Indian meals, without altering taste, texture, or routine.

Unlike traditional protein formats such as powders, shakes, and bars, Prolicious aims to embed nutrition directly into everyday foods—from dal and roti to snacks and breakfast staples making healthier eating more sustainable and accessible.

Bringing this concept to life, the brand has introduced a high-energy campaign film featuring the “Prolicious Bestie,” an animated character that “upgrades” meals in everyday Indian households. The film highlights how nutrition can be enhanced effortlessly, without requiring consumers to adopt new habits.

The idea for Prolicious stems from founder Prakash Chawla’s personal journey. After being diagnosed as pre-diabetic due to low protein intake in a regular Indian diet, Chawla chose to rework everyday meals instead of turning to supplements—ultimately reversing his condition and inspiring the brand’s creation.

Juhi Singh, Chief Business Officer at Prolicious, said the category has traditionally relied on supplement-driven solutions that are difficult to sustain. She emphasized that Prolicious focuses on upgrading existing eating habits rather than replacing them, aligning with evolving consumer preferences for convenience, familiarity, and long-term sustainability.

By positioning itself as a non-diet brand, Prolicious is tapping into a broader cultural shift—moving away from restrictive food trends toward practical, everyday nutrition solutions. The launch marks the brand’s entry into India’s growing health and wellness space with a proposition rooted in simplicity and consistency.
