Mumbai, 22 Aug 2026: The 4th Edition of TEDxIIHMR U, concluded successfully on Friday at IIHMR University, Jaipur. Themed “Ignite the Unseen,” the event brought together individuals whose ideas, work, and journeys often remain outside the mainstream, yet have the power to create meaningful change.
The speaker lineup brought together voices from diverse fields, including Dr. Mallika Sarabhai, Padma Bhushan recipient and Director of Darpana Academy; Dr. Shibu Vijayan, Chief Medical Officer for Global Health at Qure.ai; Mr. Om Prakash Gurjar, 2006 International Children’s Peace Prize laureate and founder of Paathshala Trust; Ms. Gauri Yadwadkar, Lead at Roundglass Music and a singer, composer and musicologist; Mr. R. Udayan Lahiry, entrepreneur, wildlife conservationist and former Managing Director of the Medica Group of Hospitals; and Mr. Prateek Madhav, National Award-winning disability rights advocate and CEO & Co-founder of ATF.
Through their diverse experiences across performing arts, public health, child rights, assistive technology, music, entrepreneurship, and wildlife conservation, the speakers offered the audience perspectives on people and ideas that are often overlooked but have the potential to shape society.
The event also featured a special performance by Mr. Abhishek Mudgal. A theatre director, actor, founder of Rang Mastaaney, and Stage Manager at the National School of Drama, New Delhi, Mr. Mudgal brought a distinctive theatrical dimension to the TEDxIIHMR U stage with the act “Maharathi”.
The 2026 edition reflected TEDxIIHMR U’s effort to create a platform where conversations extend beyond conventional boundaries and bring together perspectives from health, innovation, entrepreneurship, social impact, culture, and the arts.

Since its inception in 2023, TEDxIIHMR U has continued to provide a platform for thought-provoking ideas and conversations, bringing together changemakers and audiences to explore perspectives that can influence individuals, communities, and society.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.
These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
