July 28: Deloitte India today released the third edition of its Future of Work and People Analytics Maturity – The Indian Story report, highlighting how Indian organisations are accelerating AI-enabled workforce transformation through data-driven people strategies. Based on insights from over 85 organisations across India, the report finds that 43 percent of organisations have reached advanced people analytics maturity, while more than half have begun integrating AI into HR and work processes to build more agile, skills-focused and future-ready workforces.
“India is well-positioned to lead the next phase of AI-enabled workforce transformation, supported by its strong digital ecosystem, deep talent pool and growing adoption of data-driven technologies. As people analytics matures, its role will increasingly shift from measuring outcomes to shaping them, enabling organisations to make workforce decisions with greater confidence. Organisations that successfully combine AI-enabled insights with strong data foundations and human-centric workforce strategies will set the benchmark for workforce resilience and business performance in the years ahead,” said Nitin Razdan, Partner and Human Capital Consulting Leader, Deloitte South Asia.
The report highlights six priorities shaping the future of work in India, including HR’s evolution into a strategic workforce architect, strengthening people analytics foundations, accelerating AI adoption, enabling proactive talent management, enhancing employee well-being and advancing skills-based workforce models. It underscores that organisations combining AI with robust data governance and workforce strategies will be best positioned to drive long-term business performance.
