Bengaluru,12 October 2026: CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, today announced the expansion of its University Affiliation Program (UAP) in Karnataka through new affiliations with Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). These additions bring the total number of CFA Institute-affiliated institutions in India to 46, further strengthening the pipeline of future investment professionals through industry-aligned, ethics-based finance education.
The CFA Institute University Affiliation Program (UAP) recognizes academic institutions whose degree programs incorporate a significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and emphasize ethics, professional standards, and investment knowledge. The program helps prepare students to pursue the globally recognized Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation while equipping them with industry-relevant skills and a strong foundation in ethical decision-making.
The affiliation of Manipal Institute of Technology’s B.Tech. (Computer Science and Financial Technology) programme represents a significant milestone for CFA Institute in India, making MIT the first engineering and STEM institution in the country to join the University Affiliation Program. The affiliation reflects the increasing convergence of finance and technology and the growing demand for interdisciplinary learning pathways that prepare students for careers at the intersection of financial services, data, and innovation.
Karnataka has emerged as one of CFA Institute’s most active university engagement markets in India. Through the University Affiliation Program, CFA Institute currently partners with leading institutions across the state, including IIM Bangalore, TAPMI, Christ University, RV University and St. Joseph’s University, among others.
