Moscow, Sep 16: Sberbank has been named Russia’s most valuable brand, with a brand value of RUB 2.35 trillion, according to a study by international consultancy BrandLab, as reported by TASS.
The study found that Sber’s brand value increased by 4.5% to RUB 2.35 trillion. In 2025, the company also posted a record net profit of RUB 1.7 trillion, up 7.9% year-on-year. According to BrandLab experts, however, the increase in the brand’s value was driven by more than the company’s record financial performance.
Sber also topped the Brand Strength Index. BrandLab calculates brand strength based on 10 parameters, including brand awareness and customer loyalty, market presence, communications activity and investment in the brand. The strength of each brand is represented using a rating system similar to credit ratings, ranging from D to AAA+.
“Sber (AAA+) – the strongest Russian brand for the third consecutive year,” the study says.
BrandLab experts note that Sber’s ecosystem and its growing position as a technology leader, particularly in artificial intelligence, are also contributing to the strength of the brand. At the same time, the study highlights the brand’s ability to evolve while remaining relevant to different generations. Customers point to the continuous improvement of Sber’s products and the growing quality of its services.
Sber noted that brand value has become one of the key indicators of business performance.
“Sber has a history spanning 185 years, and throughout that time we have built up a wealth of experience in working with people across the country. Generations, technologies and products change, but the foundation of a strong brand remains the experience people have and the emotions they take away from interacting with us. Ultimately, that is what shapes how millions of people perceive Sber and translates into tangible value for the business,” said Vladislav Kreinin, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing and Communications at Sberbank
