New Delhi, Aug. 21: India and Russia have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in the higher education sector following a high-level meeting between senior officials of the two countries.

Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Deepti Gaur Mukherjee, held discussions with Dr Mogilevsky Konstantin Ilyich, Deputy Minister for Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, on August 20.
During the meeting, both sides explored areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and enhancing institutional partnerships between Indian and Russian higher education institutions.

The discussions focused on broadening cooperation in higher education, promoting greater engagement between universities, and creating new opportunities for academic and research collaboration.
Reiterating their shared commitment to deepening educational ties, the two officials expressed confidence that continued dialogue and collaborative initiatives would further strengthen the longstanding partnership between India and Russia in the field of higher education.
