The 50-key resort strengthens the group’s destination-led portfolio with a new leisure, wildlife and events address in Uttarakhand

Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Opens Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett, Now Part of Trademark Collection by Wyndham

New Delhi, Aug 20: Homegrown hospitality chain Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has opened Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett, a 50-key resort near Ramnagar in Uttarakhand and now part of Trademark Collection by Wyndham. The opening marks the latest addition to Cygnett’s destination-focused Cygnett Collection portfolio, and further advances the strategic alliance between Cygnett Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Located on the Umedpur–Chilkiya belt, the resort provides convenient access to Jim Corbett National Park while remaining connected to Ramnagar and other key attractions in the region. The location positions the property to cater to a broad mix of travellers visiting Corbett for wildlife tourism, family holidays, short leisure breaks, corporate retreats and social gatherings.

The resort has 50 rooms, each measuring close to 400 sq. ft., with layouts designed around longer, more relaxed leisure stays. Facilities include C Pavilion, the property’s all-day dining restaurant serving Indian, regional and international cuisine, an outdoor swimming pool and landscaped outdoor spaces.

The property also adds a sizeable meetings and events component to its leisure offering. Summit, its approximately 3,000 sq. ft. conference and banquet venue, can accommodate up to 250 guests depending on the event format. Together with the resort’s outdoor spaces, the venue allows the property to address demand from corporate offsites, intimate destination weddings and private celebrations.

“Jim Corbett has developed into a strong year-round leisure market, with demand extending beyond wildlife travel to family holidays, celebrations and corporate retreats. For us, this opening is also an important expression of what Cygnett Collection is intended to represent. We want to bring together destination-led properties that have a clear sense of place and an individual identity, while giving guests the consistency of service and operating standards associated with Cygnett,” said Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.

Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett combines its individual, destination-led character and Cygnett’s hospitality experience with the reach and distribution strength of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The association further enhances the property’s visibility among domestic and international travellers while supporting Cygnett’s strategy of building distinctive hotels in high-potential leisure destinations.

The opening comes as Cygnett continues to develop Cygnett Collection as its distinctive midscale portfolio for boutique resorts, heritage conversions and properties where the destination itself plays a central role in the guest experience. Rather than following a uniform design template, hotels under the Collection are intended to retain their individual architectural and local character while operating within common standards of contemporary hospitality and the company’s Cygnetture service framework.

With Cygnett Collection Jim Corbett, the group is positioning the brand across one of North India’s established wildlife and drive-to leisure markets, combining access to the Corbett landscape with accommodation, dining and event infrastructure suited to multiple travel segments. Its inclusion in Trademark Collection by Wyndham also underscores the broader strategic collaboration between Cygnett Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as the companies pursue growth opportunities across India and South Asia.

Commenting on the milestone, Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, said,“When we started Cygnett twelve years ago, we were convinced that India’s hospitality growth story would increasingly be shaped by emerging cities and untapped destinations. The North East, pilgrimage centres and regional markets offered immense potential, and our strategy was built around participating in this transformation long before it became an industry trend.”

He further added, “As we enter the next phase of growth, our focus is on creating a globally connected hospitality platform rooted in regional India. Our partnership with Wyndham, expanding portfolio of brands and strong development pipeline position us well to capitalize on the evolving travel landscape and create long-term value for our stakeholders.”

With India’s hospitality sector increasingly being driven by spiritual tourism, experiential travel, destination weddings and infrastructure-led commercial corridors, Cygnett believes the next decade of opportunity lies beyond traditional metropolitan markets. The company has set a target of surpassing 100+ hotels and 10,000+ keys by 2030, reinforcing its ambition to play a leading role in shaping the future of hospitality across India and South Asia.
