Kota, August 18: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has announced plans to establish digital libraries in every panchayat of the Kota-Bundi region, with the aim of improving access to education, technology and knowledge in rural areas.

Birla said the initiative would help students and young people in villages access digital learning resources and educational content without having to travel to urban centres. The proposed libraries are expected to provide access to online study materials, e-books and other digital resources, supporting students preparing for competitive examinations and pursuing higher education.

The Lok Sabha Speaker said strengthening digital infrastructure at the grassroots level would contribute to improving educational opportunities and empowering rural youth. The initiative is expected to bridge the digital and knowledge gap between rural and urban communities in the Kota-Bundi region.
