Mumbai, Aug 10: Brain Bristle Foundation, a Mumbai-based NGO working on inclusion for neurodivergent children in low-income schools, will host two community webinars this month with international autism experts, and has opened a 2-year training module for schools and NPOs.
Prof. Tony Attwood has spent five decades working directly with autistic individuals and their families. His 1998 book, Asperger’s Syndrome: A Guide for Parents and Professionals, has been translated into 27 languages and remains one of the most widely referenced texts in the field. He has since authored 18 further books and over 40 peer-reviewed papers. His current work centres on camouflaging, AuDHD, autistic burnout, and diagnosing autistic girls and women, areas that remain underrepresented in mainstream autism research.
Peter Vermeulen has spent over 35 years working in autism, building a reputation for translating research into insights that are grounded, clear, and usable for the people applying them day to day. He has worked with professionals, organisations, governments, and institutions across the world, and continues to shape how autism is understood by both clinicians and families.
Additionally, Brain Bristle has also opened a 2-year training module for schools and NPOs, built on its learning, theory, and processes for inclusion at the school level. Year 1 consists of bi-monthly e-learning modules; Year 2 offers advisory support.
