EuroKids Awesome August 2026: Where Celebrations Build Character, Not Just Memories

Bengaluru, Aug 06: EuroKids Preschool, India’s Leading Preschool, has announced Awesome August 2026, its annual month-long celebration that brings together children, parents and educators across its centres nationwide. Centered around four core life values, the initiative transforms celebrations into engaging learning experiences through storytelling, culture, sustainability and collaborative play.

Awesome August unfolds through themed weeks celebrating Friendship Day, Independence Day, Sustainable Week and Raksha Bandhan, each week centered on a core life value. Through age-appropriate, hands-on activities, the initiative encourages young learners to develop empathy, pride, responsibility, and trust while encouraging families to celebrate and learn together.

Rooted in EuroKids‘ Heureka – The Visible Thinking Curriculum, based on Harvard University’s Project Zero and aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Awesome August reflects the brand’s commitment to nurturing social-emotional development through experiential learning. By blending cultural celebrations with purposeful learning experiences, the initiative also strengthens the preschool-home connection and encourages children to learn by doing.

KVS Seshasai, CEO, Pre-K Division, Lighthouse Learning (EuroKids), said, At EuroKids, we believe every celebration is an opportunity in disguise. We don’t just celebrate festivals — we use them to nurture the values that will shape who our children become. Through Awesome August, empathy, pride, responsibility and trust move from posters and stories into lived experiences a child can actually practise. Whether it’s a friendship bracelet, a pledge to save water, or a rakhi tied for nature, our focus remains the same: building life skills that stay with a child long after the celebration ends.

The celebrations begin with Friendship Week (August 1–8), centered on empathy. Inspired by the timeless story of Krishna and Sudama, children will participate in activities such as creating friendship potlis and bracelets, buddy treasure hunts and kindness circles, encouraging collaboration, compassion and meaningful friendships from an early age. Parents will also be encouraged to participate in select activities, creating shared moments of learning and celebration.

Building on this, Independence Week (August 9–16) celebrates the values of pride and unity through immersive patriotic experiences. Activities such as tricolour kite festivals, sensory play, themed obstacle courses, mini patriotic parades and a ‘Unity in Diversity’ ramp walk will help children appreciate India’s rich cultural heritage while celebrating the spirit of togetherness.

As part of Sustainability Week (August 17–23), EuroKids builds on its year-round curriculum focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, this month spotlighting SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation. Through hands-on activities like the Water Drop Passport (where children graduate as Junior Water Heroes), Rescue the River, the ‘I Pledge to Save Water’ mural, and the Water Bank reward game, children aged 2–6 learn water conservation as part of their everyday curriculum, not a one-off campaign moment.

The celebrations conclude with Raksha Bandhan Week (August 24–31), celebrating trust and meaningful relationships while carrying forward the sustainability theme. Children will create eco-friendly rakhis using leaves, seeds and recycled materials before participating in the ‘Rakhi for Nature’ activity, where they will tie ribbons around garden trees and pledge to protect and care for nature.

Through Awesome AugustEuroKids continues to transform celebrations into meaningful learning experiences that help children build essential values while strengthening the connection between preschool and home. Families are encouraged to visit their nearest EuroKids centre with their children to participate in the celebrations and discover how EuroKids blends culture, values and purposeful play to make learning engaging and memorable.
