June 11: Strengthening its commitment to nurturing a vibrant research ecosystem and fostering innovation among young minds, Amity University Noida has launched the fourth edition of its flagship Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship 2026, a fully residential research programme for undergraduate students, commencing from 11 June 2026 for a duration of 4–8 weeks. The fellowship provides undergraduate students with a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research under the guidance of eminent faculty mentors across disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Healthcare, Basic Sciences, Management, and emerging technologies.Fourth Edition of Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship 2026 Launched by Amity, to Nurture the Next Generation of Innovators

USRF 2026 has received an overwhelming response, attracting 3,495 applications, from 32 States and Union Territories across the country, highlighting the programme’s extensive national outreach. Engineering domain received the highest number of applications, followed by Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Science, Management, Pharmacy and Healthcare reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of the fellowship. Around 30 students from premier institutions including IITs, IIITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, Central Universities, and leading private universities have been shortlisted for the Fellowship, reaffirming USRF’s position as one of India’s most sought-after undergraduate research programmes.

Addressing the participants, Dr. M.K. Dutta, Additional Pro-Vice Chancellor, Amity University, said,

“The fellowship aims to introduce undergraduate students to research at an early stage, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning through faculty mentorship and collaborative projects. With research now gaining momentum at the undergraduate level, students must seize this opportunity to develop path-breaking innovations and contribute to addressing contemporary challenges. The fellowship will help in cultivating scientific inquiry, innovation, and research excellence while preparing students for advanced academic pursuits and research-oriented careers.”

Dr. Manoj Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity School of Engineering and Technology stated,

The young research fellows will receive a weekly stipend of ₹1,000, free on-campus hostel accommodation, train travel support for selected participants, and waiver of application fees. The programme also offers opportunities for non-fellow participants to attend at nominal charges. In addition, the participants will have access to Amity University’s advanced research ecosystem, featuring state-of-the-art laboratories along with advanced computing and interdisciplinary research facilities.

The unprecedented response to the fourth edition of USRF reflects the growing aspiration among young scholars to pursue research-led learning and reinforces Amity University’s leadership in promoting research excellence and innovation-driven education in India.
