New Delhi, June 08: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Mr. Rajeev Kumar Ambesta, DCP, Northern Range Traffic, participated in a plantation drive at Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Model Town, spreading the message of environmental conservation and sustainable living. The plantation activity witnessed active participation from the Delhi Police team and Yatharth Hospital officials and staff, reaffirming their collective commitment towards a greener future.
Speaking on the occasion, DCP Ambesta said, “Environmental conservation is not the responsibility of the government or any single organization alone; it is a collective responsibility of all citizens. Planting a tree not only increases green cover around us but also plays a vital role in ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations. I urge everyone to plant more trees and take responsibility for nurturing them.”
As part of the initiative, Yatharth Hospital also organized a free health check-up camp for police personnel, enabling officers and staff members to undergo preventive health screenings and consultations.
Appreciating the initiative, Mr. Sunil Satya Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Yatharth Hospital, Model Town, said, “World Environment Day reminds us of our responsibility towards nature. We should encourage the practice of gifting plants on birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Such small but meaningful gestures can significantly contribute to environmental conservation while creating a positive impact on society.”
The event was attended by senior doctors Dr. I.M. Chugh and Dr. Palash Gupta, along with Sunil Shah, Prerna, and several other distinguished guests and members of the Yatharth team. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about environmental protection and inspire collective action towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
