Bengaluru, June 4: GVRP a Hyderabad-based research organisation, has announced the inauguration of the GVRP StepsBio Research Centre (GSRC), a strategic collaboration with Steps Biosciences that marks a significant milestone in India’s pharmaceutical R&D landscape.
Located within the 1BLR life sciences cluster Lifescapes in Bengaluru, the 15,000 sq. ft. facility is a dedicated Centre of Excellence for formulations research and development. GSRC represents GVRP’s deliberate strategic expansion into high-complexity formulations, an area increasingly central to the global drug development pipeline and further cements Bengaluru’s emergence as a premier destination for life sciences innovation.
Purpose-built to address the most demanding formulation challenges, GSRC integrates advanced scientific infrastructure with specialised workflows to support complex drug delivery systems, sterile injectables, and differentiated dosage forms. The centre also bridges seamlessly with GVRP’s established preclinical capabilities, enabling a truly integrated development continuum from molecule to formulated product under one collaborative ecosystem.

Pre-Formulation & Characterisation Labs: Dedicated spaces for in-depth API characterisation, providing the scientific foundation for robust and predictable formulation development.
Integrated Analytical Infrastructure: High-precision HPLC and UPLC systems, ICH-compliant stability chambers, and instruments for evaluating key physical parameters including particle size, rheology, viscosity, and osmolality ensuring data-driven decision-making at every stage.
