Hyderabad, 7th April 2026 – Youth Feed Foundation, a pan-India youth-led nonprofit, was honoured by B. Shivadhar Reddy, Director General of Police, Telangana, at the Gurukul Felicitation Ceremony organised by Akshaya Vidya Foundation. The event, held at the Commissioner’s Office, Cyberabad, recognised the Foundation’s contributions towards improving health, nutrition, and educational outcomes for underprivileged children.

The felicitation ceremony recognised students who successfully cleared prestigious entrance examinations, while also acknowledging organisations contributing to their educational journey. Youth Feed Foundation has been working to improve access to nutrition for children of daily wage workers through its Gyan Shakti programme. Since its launch last year, the programme has driven a 37 percent increase in school attendance and currently supports over 1,100 children with consistent, balanced nutrition, strengthening both learning conditions and overall well-being.

The organisation aims to expand the Gyan Shakti programme to reach 4,000 children in the coming year. With an impact of over 1.3 crore lives across India, Youth Feed Foundation continues to focus on scalable interventions that strengthen the link between nutrition and education, supporting long-term development outcomes for underserved communities.

According to Shaaz Mehmood, “At Youth Feed Foundation, we believe nutrition is fundamental to a child’s ability to learn and thrive. Through the Gyan Shakti programme, we are seeing tangible improvements in attendance, engagement, and overall well-being. As we scale, our focus is on ensuring that every child we reach is equipped with the foundation they need for long-term growth.”
