Feb, 25: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP (Deloitte India) announced a strategic alliance with Confluent Inc. to help enterprises modernise legacy systems, access real-time data and prepare for AI-driven transformation. The collaboration brings together Deloitte India’s industry experience and modernisation capabilities with Confluent’s comprehensive data streaming platform, enabling enterprises to stream, connect, process and govern data as it flows through their businesses in real time.

Organisations continue to operate large volumes of data across mainframes, monolithic databases and traditional messaging systems. This often results in static and siloed environments that restrict access to mission-critical information and constrain real-time decision-making and AI adoption. Through this alliance, Deloitte India and Confluent Inc. will help Indian enterprises unlock core business data to modernise complex legacy environments. The combined approach will help manage the entire process of migrating, re-platforming and re-architecting legacy applications onto a modern, cloud-native data streaming platform. Confluent provides real-time data capabilities, a broad ecosystem of managed connectors and a fully managed streaming platform with strong reliability and governance, complemented by Deloitte India’s strategic methodology, automation tools, such as innoWake, and reference architecture to support secure, low-risk migration.

Karthikeyan Krishnamoorthy, Executive Director, Deloitte India, said,

“The alliance strengthens our ability to support clients as they modernise legacy systems and move towards real-time and AI-ready operations. By combining Deloitte India’s transformation experience with Confluent’s real-time data streaming platform, we aim to help organisations unlock core business data, simplify complex environments and improve readiness for modern digital and AI applications.”

Hemendra Upadhyay, Partner, Deloitte India, said,

“Enterprises today need partners who can work together seamlessly to help them navigate complex transformation agendas. The power of any collaboration lies in how it brings the right expertise to the table at the right time. This alliance reflects our commitment to supporting clients with integrated capabilities as they take on larger digital and AI-led priorities.”

The alliance will support AI and generative AI adoption by providing fresh and trustworthy data for AI systems. Data liberated from legacy environments through Confluent will serve as continuous, contextual streams that power AI and machine learning applications and Deloitte India’s GenAI frameworks. The joint objective is to help enterprises deliver accurate, contextual and valuable AI-powered outcomes by ensuring that the AI layer is always supplied with trusted data.

The collaboration will also help organisations deploy real-time business scenarios, including instant payments, hyper-personalisation, predictive maintenance and fraud detection. Deloitte India’s deep industry knowledge in banking, capital markets, retail and manufacturing will help clients identify and deploy high-value use cases, supporting accelerated revenue generation and stronger risk mitigation.

“Indian organisations are rapidly adopting data streaming for their most critical systems. By combining Confluent’s industry-leading data streaming platform with Deloitte India’s deep transformation expertise, we are providing the ‘central nervous system’ required to turn every action into instant intelligence and accelerate India’s digital revolution,” said Kamal Brar, Senior Vice President, Partner and Technology Group, Confluent.
