
Bengaluru, Feb 12: Zee Kannada News, the trusted and beloved channel of Kannadigas, is set to host the ZEE Kannada News Achievers Awards 2026, its flagship annual platform recognising individuals whose work continues to shape the state’s social, cultural, and developmental landscape. The awards ceremony will be held on 12 February 2026, from 5:00 PM onwards, at The Lalit Ashok Bengaluru.
The Achievers Awards serve as a platform to honour real-life changemakers whose leadership, commitment, and integrity continue to influence Karnataka’s social, cultural, and developmental journey. The awards aim to recognise excellence across governance, public service, business, arts, culture, and social impact, while bringing forward stories that inspire progress and positive change across the state.
The ceremony will be held in the august presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Shri Shri Shri Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, President, Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math, Mandya. The event will also witness the presence of senior leaders and ministers, including Shri H. K. Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs; Shri Ramalinga Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Transport & Muzrai; Dr. G. Parameshwara, Hon’ble Minister for Home Affairs; Shri Eshwar Khandre, Hon’ble Minister for Forest Department; Shri Shivaraj Tangadagi, Hon’ble Minister for Kannada & Culture and Backward Classes Welfare; Shri Rahim Khan, Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration & Hajj; Shri P. M. Narendraswamy, Chairman, State Environment & Pollution Control Board; and Shri V. Sunil Kumar, Hon’ble MLA and State BJP General Secretary.
The evening will also bring together prominent voices from the Kannada film industry, including acclaimed director and actor Shri S. Narayan, along with actors Pramod Shetty and Smt. Pooja Gandhi.
The ZEE Kannada News Achievers Awards 2026 will also confer the Lifetime Achievement distinction upon individuals whose decades of contribution have left a lasting imprint on Karnataka and beyond. The recognition this year will be accorded to Shri B. S. Yediyurappa, Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, for his enduring role in public life and governance; to Shri S. Narayan, Director, Actor and Producer, for his sustained contributions to Kannada cinema; to Shri Anke Gowda M., Book Lover and Librarian, for his commitment to fostering literary culture and access to knowledge; and to Ms. Chitra Magimairaj, International Snooker Player, for her accomplishments in representing India on the international sporting stage. The segment reflects a collective acknowledgment of legacies built over time through leadership, creativity, and perseverance.
The ZEE Kannada News Achievers Awards 2026 reaffirm the channel’s commitment to recognising individuals who lead by example and contribute beyond personal success.
