Hyderabad, April 10: Xpheno, in its latest research report titled “T+ve: A Talent Positive Telangana,” has reaffirmed Telangana’s position as one of only six talent-positive states in India, ranking third in net positive talent balance among white-collar professionals.

According to the report, Telangana recorded a Positive Talent Balance (PTB) of 25,500 for the fiscal year ending March 2026. This was driven by over 77,800 inbound talent absorptions and 52,300 outbound movements, underscoring the state’s growing attractiveness as a destination for skilled professionals and enterprises.

The report attributes this growth to a combination of business-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and a thriving commercial ecosystem, positioning the state as a preferred hub for Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and high-value enterprises.

Commenting on the findings, Kamal Karanth, Co-founder, Xpheno, said:

“Telangana is emerging as a competitive talent hub with a strong global focus. The influx of global companies establishing greenfield GCCs, along with expansion by existing enterprises, highlights the state’s ability to offer skills, speed, scale, and infrastructure.”

Pallavi Nanduru, Hyderabad Center Head, added:

“Telangana is increasingly becoming a preferred destination for global companies. Today, businesses prioritize not just cost efficiency but also access to deep talent pools, scalability, and future-ready infrastructure—areas where Hyderabad is delivering strongly.”

Hyderabad continues to anchor the state’s growth, hosting a significant share of its 23.88 lakh experienced white-collar workforce. The city draws talent from major metropolitan areas such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Chennai, reinforcing its status as a leading career destination.

The state’s total accessible white-collar talent pool has grown to 48.8 lakh, marking a 17% year-on-year increase, with nearly half comprising experienced professionals. The IT/ITeS sector remains dominant, employing 39% of the active experienced talent pool, while engineering continues to be the leading functional domain.

Additionally, Telangana maintains a strong talent pipeline, producing over 1 lakh engineers annually, further strengthening its position as a talent powerhouse.

The report also highlights robust inter-state talent movement corridors with regions such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, while internationally, the United States remains a key talent linkage, reflecting the state’s growing global integration.

Rising interest from jobseekers further reinforces this trend, with over 25 lakh active candidates across India expressing a preference for Hyderabad. Notably, more than 4 lakh experienced professionals from Bengaluru have indicated interest in relocating to the city.

With sustained talent inflows, expanding GCC presence, and increasing preference among jobseekers, Telangana continues to strengthen its position as a key player in India’s evolving talent landscape.
