Vodafone Idea (Vi) Raises Prices Following Jio, Airtel

01/07/2024- Following the lead of Airtel and Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced tariff hikes for both prepaid and postpaid plans, effective from July 4. The network operator clarified that while prices are increasing, the benefits offered in the plans will remain unchanged.

Under the revised pricing, the entry-level plan costing Rs 179 with 28 days validity and 2GB mobile data will now cost Rs 199. Similarly, the popular Rs 479 plan, offering 56 days validity and 1.5GB data per day, will be revised to Rs 579.

The new tariffs represent an increase of 11-24% across various prepaid and postpaid plans. Vodafone Idea (Vi) also stated its intention to make substantial investments in enhancing the 4G experience and launching 5G services in the coming quarters.

Reliance Jio and Airtel have also announced new tariff plans effective from July 3, marking a broader adjustment in pricing strategies across major telecom operators in India.
