HYDERABAD – The Hyderabad-based Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) institution, Amika Arbitration and Mediation Council (AAMC), has reached a significant global milestone by becoming one of only four Indian arbitration institutions recognised by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). AAMC Registrar Dr. P. Madhava Rao revealed in a press release that the international body had approved the council’s arbitration rules for international trade disputes after a rigorous three-month evaluation and revision process. This coveted designation demonstrates that the AAMC’s rules, regulations, and dispute resolution procedures have now met the highest international standards.

Over the last five years, AAMC has established itself as a leading provider of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services. The institution has already registered 500 cases and has become well-known throughout the Telugu states, particularly for its skill in family dispute resolution. While the council has long been a trusted local body for matrimonial, family, trade, business, and property disputes, its new UNCITRAL recognition establishes it as a prominent actor on the world arena. Dr. Rao emphasised that this success increases the council’s ability to manage complicated international trade disputes, reinforcing its role in lowering the strain on the formal legal system through efficient and internationally coordinated arbitration.
