04/07/2024- The Indian cricket team, fresh from winning their second T20 World Cup title in Barbados, landed in Delhi today aboard a specially arranged charter flight. Their arrival was delayed by five days due to a Category 4 hurricane.
The team is going to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi before flying to Mumbai for an open bus victory parade and a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium. Captain Rohit Sharma and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah have invited fans via social media to join the celebrations.
The victory parade will start at 5 pm today, with the procession running from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium between 5 and 7 pm. Fans are encouraged to join and celebrate the team’s triumphant return.
