Northern Railway is preparing to launch train services on this remarkable bridge, with the first successful trial train running from Sangaldan to Reasi on Sunday. This trial marks the completion of the rail link between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of India, as announced by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The Chenab Rail Bridge is not only a marvel of engineering but also a symbol of progress, promising to boost economic growth and development in Jammu and Kashmir. Standing at 359 meters (approximately 1,180 feet) above the Chenab River, the Chenab Rail Bridge is 35 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower.
