Soy Soi invites diners on a deeply comforting culinary journey with Suey & Beyond: 12 Simmering Stories, a limited-time festival celebrating the soulful broths, fragrant curries, and hearty noodle bowls of Southeast Asia from 12th March 2026, onwards at Kotturpuram, Chennai. Inspired by the vibrant street-side sois of the region, the festival brings together dishes where broths simmer slowly, spices bloom, and noodles come alive with layers of toppings and textures.

Soy Soi presents Suey & Beyond: 12 Simmering Stories A Festival of Southeast Asian Broths, Curries, and Noodle Bowls

At the heart of the festival is Khao Suey, presented through a rich exploration of regional interpretations. Guests can experience variations such as the Swe Taung Khao Suey and No Sein Khao Suey from Burma, the Luang Prabang Khao Suey from Laos, and Nam Kua styles from Thailand — each offering its own distinctive balance of broth, noodles, and toppings.

Moving beyond Khao Suey, the menu highlights bold Southeast Asian curries and noodle dishes that showcase the region’s diverse culinary traditions. Diners can savour dishes such as Ayam Kalio from Indonesia, the slow-cooked Kaeng Hang Le from the Northern Thailand–Myanmar region, the comforting Vietnamese Cà Rí Chay, the tangy and aromatic Penang Laksa, and the flavourful Choo Chee Fish Curry.

Together, these dishes celebrate the depth and complexity that define Southeast Asian cuisine — from rich coconut-based curries to clear aromatic broths — served with thoughtfully chosen ingredients including seafood, meats, vegetables, and plant-based options.

With Suey & Beyond: 12 Simmering Stories, Soy Soi offers guests an opportunity to step away from the rush of the city and experience a menu that captures the warmth, comfort, and vibrant flavours of Southeast Asia, one bowl at a time.
