Every good thing comes to an end, as sad as it may be. The vibrant and joyous festival of Navratri is also nearing its conclusion. As the festival wraps up, actor Sahil Uppal, who plays the lead character Gagan in Sun Neo’s show Saajha Sindoor, opened up about his deep connection to the festival and how strongly he relates to Goddess Durga.
Talking about the relevance of Navratri in today’s world, Sahil Uppal shared, “I think Navratri’s significance has only grown with time. In today’s fast-paced world, it gives us a chance to pause, reflect, and come together with our loved ones. It’s a reminder to stay connected to our roots and values.”
The Saajha Sindoor actor also revealed his personal connection with Goddess Durga, expressing, “I personally relate to Goddess Durga. She represents strength, resilience, and courage, qualities I try to bring into my life and work. Whether it’s tackling challenges on the set of Sun Neo’s Saajha Sindoor or in my personal life, her energy reminds me to keep pushing forward, no matter what.”
Originally from Noida, Sahil has been living in the city of dreams—Mumbai—for quite a few years now. While he enjoys the festival in the city, Sahil expressed his wish to experience the magic of Navratri in Gujarat. “I haven’t experienced Navratri in Gujarat yet, but I’ve heard it’s incredible! The energy, the grand celebrations, and the devotion are unmatched. Some of my friends from Gujarat have shared their experiences, and it’s on my bucket list to visit during Navratri. Hopefully, once I get some time off from shooting our Sun Neo show Saajha Sindoor, I’ll be able to experience it firsthand,” he added.
Sahil Uppal plays the lead role of Gagan in Saajha Sindoor, alongside Stuti Vinkle as Phooli, and their on-screen chemistry has captured the hearts of viewers. The show focuses on the marital journey of Phooli and Gagan, while Saroj, played by Sangita Ghosh, schemes to drive a wedge between them. Saajha Sindoor, airing on Sun Neo every Monday to Saturday at 8:00 PM, features an impressive cast including Sangita Ghosh, Sahil Uppal, Neelu Vaghela, and Krutika Desai, among others.
