25th June 2024- The schedule for this year’s Rath Yatra has been finalized by the Niti sub-committee and Chhattisha Niyog during their meeting on Monday. According to the decision, the chariots of the Mahaprabhu will be pulled starting at 5 PM on July 7, following the traditional rituals.
The Rath Yatra will adhere to the 1971 car festival schedule, considering that the Rath Yatra, Nabajouban Darshan, and Netrostav coincide on the same day this year. Preceding the chariot pulling, the Chherapanhara ritual is scheduled for 4 PM, followed by Chari Phita and Ghoda-Sarathi’s attachment to the chariots at 4:30 PM.
Further events include the Bahuda festival on July 15 and the Suna Besha on July 17. The finalized schedule set by Chhattisha Niyog will undergo approval in the upcoming Srimandir managing committee meeting.
