On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his countryside residence in Novo-Ogarevo, Moscow. President Putin congratulated PM Modi on his historic third-term win and commended his lifelong dedication to the people of India.
PM Modi, on a two-day visit to Russia, arrived earlier at Vnukovo-II International Airport in Moscow. His visit to Putin’s residence marks his first bilateral trip since his recent election victory. His previous visit to Russia was in 2019 when he attended an economic conclave in Vladivostok.
During the meeting, Moscow agreed to release and facilitate the return of all Indians misled into joining the Russian Army. The talks underscore the continued cooperation between India and Russia, highlighting significant diplomatic engagements and mutual agreements.
