July 8, 2024- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a two-day visit to Russia, where he will meet President Vladimir Putin in Moscow for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. This visit marks PM Modi’s first trip to Russia in nearly five years, following his last visit in 2019 to Vladivostok for an economic conclave.
President Putin will host a private dinner for PM Modi during his stay, emphasizing the warmth and strategic importance of bilateral relations. Apart from the summit, PM Modi will engage with the Indian community in Russia and visit the Kremlin during his itinerary.
Following his visit to Russia, PM Modi will make a historic trip to Austria, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 41 years. This visit underscores India’s efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties with European nations.
The discussions between PM Modi and President Putin are expected to cover a wide range of issues aimed at bolstering cooperation between India and Russia across various sectors.
