Manipal, March 27, 2024 – The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), a premier institution for engineering education and a constituent institute of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, an Institution of Eminence, is proud to announce the upcoming Solar Electric Vehicle Championship (SEVC) 2024 in collaboration with Coimbatore Society of Racing Minds (CSRM), scheduled to be held from 27th to 31st March 2024. The event is conducted jointly by the Department of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering and the Department of Mechatronics of MIT, Manipal. This event marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of sustainable mobility solutions and underscores MIT’s commitment to fostering innovation and environmental consciousness.
SEVC 2024 serves as a platform for engineering enthusiasts, innovators, and students from across the nation to demonstrate their skill in designing and constructing solar-powered electric vehicles. Against the backdrop of the scenic Manipal campus, participants will engage in exhilarating competitions, showcasing the culmination of their hard work, creativity, and dedication. A total 31 teams across India have registered for the SEVC. Out of which 14 teams have been qualified for the final dynamic round. The event will be witnessed by 450+ participants across India.
The event not only promotes healthy competition but also encourages collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants, industry experts, and academia. By harnessing the power of renewable energy and embracing sustainable transportation solutions, MIT aims to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators to drive positive change in society.
