Mandi, Mar 16: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, one of India’s leading IITs, will host the third edition of SCEE Samarthya 2026, a two-day research symposium organized by the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering (SCEE). The event will be held on March 14–15, 2026, at the IIT Mandi campus.

Mandi To Host the Third Edition of SCEE Samarthya 2026 to Showcase Research and Innovation

 SCEE Samarthya 2026 will act as an exclusive platform for PhD scholars and research students to present their research work through poster presentations. The symposium aims to promote the exchange of ideas and foster an environment of interdisciplinary dialogue within the institute.

The event will highlight various research activities conducted at SCEE in areas such as Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Communication Systems, Power Electronics and Drives, Control and Automation, and VLSI and Digital Technologies.

The centerpiece of the symposium will be a Research Poster Exhibition, where research scholars will present their work and interact with faculty members, students, and fellow researchers. A panel of faculty members will evaluate the poster presentations, and Best Poster Awards will be presented for outstanding research contributions and innovative concepts.

As the third edition of SCEE Samarthya, the symposium aims to create a dynamic academic platform within the school to promote knowledge dissemination, collaboration, and recognition of research achievements among scholars and faculty members.

Speaking on the initiative, Professor Laxmidhar Behera, Director of IIT Mandi, said,

“The third edition of SCEE Samarthya highlights IIT Mandi’s focus on fostering a strong research culture among young minds. Such a platform allows our research scholars to present their work and engage in meaningful academic discussions. In today’s dynamic world, research is the key to setting new benchmarks for innovation and growth.”

Adding to this, Dr. Aditya Nigam, Chairperson, SCEE, IIT Mandi, stated,

“Research becomes stronger through collaboration and dialogue. With SCEE Samarthya 2026, we aim to offer our young minds an opportunity to present their research and receive valuable feedback and academic connections.”

Apart from academic presentations, the symposium will also include several community engagement activities aimed at strengthening the SCEE community. These will include a Cultural Night featuring performances by students and faculty members, showcasing the creative side of the institute. The event will also include a movie screening and a community dinner.

Through initiatives like SCEE Samarthya, IIT Mandi continues to nurture a dynamic environment that promotes research excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, while enriching its vibrant academic community.
