Malappuram, Feb 25: Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON), Kerala’s flagship internet connectivity initiative, has recorded strong growth in Malappuram, with total connections crossing 30,000. This achievement has positioned Malappuram as the leading district in the State in terms of the highest number of KFON connections. The project has witnessed widespread acceptance across households, offices, and commercial establishments, significantly strengthening the district’s digital infrastructure.

KFON has delivered 30,044 connections in the district as part of its continued expansion efforts. Currently, 3,195 government offices, including the District Collectorate, are connected to the KFON network, strengthening digital governance and enhancing the efficiency of public service delivery.

Supporting last-mile connectivity and efficient service delivery, 395 Local Network Operators are partnering with KFON across the district. Sputnik, the first partner to enter the Platinum category by delivering over 1,000 connections, is also based in Malappuram.
